Desert Rain

The clouds gather above the dune,
To change the desert’s dusty tune.
A sudden burst, a cooling spray,
To wash the heat of noon away.

The flowers bloom in shades of red,
Rising from their sandy bed.
A fleeting gift, a brief delight,
Before the dry and starry night.
